MACS Review: BAR ASIA

Bar Asia is the kind of restaurant that visitors to London hope to find but never do. With tasteful decoration and a warm welcome on offer we instantly felt at home in this cosy restaurant on the Old Brompton Road. The watermelon cocktails are mouth-wateringly good and a must as an aperitif. The menu is an Indian/Chinese hybrid serving both traditional and more unusual Indian dishes alongside steamed king-prawn dumplings.  However strange this combination might seem, Bar Asia manages to pull it off where most Indian restaurants would simply seem confused. The food itself is stylishly prepared and doesn’t fail to deliver on flavour and quality. The duck curry was succulent and rich with a real depth of flavour whilst the chilli salmon parcels were light and aromatic. Bar Asia really is great value for money and with attentive and unobtrusive service it offers diners an exceptional experience that is not to be missed. So, what are you waiting for?
