Culture hits London

July is the month of culture in London as it plays host to a variety of festivals. Two highlights include The City of London Festival and The Shoreditch festival.

The City of London Festival takes place between 21st June and 9th July.  It showcases the unique architecture and open spaces in London as well as all the creativity and diversity across many mediums, from music to film to new media.

With over 100 free outdoor events, this festival allows you to breathe in the culture of London, whether you see live music performances or exhibitions or even watch a concert, there is something for everyone.

Though it was founded to revitalise the culture in London, it has become a part of London’s culture.

East London plays host to the Shoreditch festival. It showcases a range of events and performances all held at Shoreditch Park and once again completely free. It will run from 16 to 18th July. Highlights include proms in the park with the royal philharmonic orchestra, screenings of films in association with the Barbican and a sports day.
