As the summer finally arrives it is essential that your make-up can adapt to suit the season.
Make-up this year can take you one of two ways, the bronzed goddess or the colourful bold festival goer.
If you consider yourself more of a bronze goddess then all you need is a few tips on keeping your make-up simple by focusing on great complexion and soft colours. A good first step is to swap any existing foundation for tinted moisturiser, such as “Studio Moisture tint” by MAC £19.50. This gives a light natural look to skin, without being too heavy on your skin. The SPF 15 in it is also beneficial whilst being out in the sun.

Another good tip to gain a warm radiant look on your skin is to use a bronzing blusher that combines a hint of colour whilst warming up your skin giving it that healthy glow. Try Estee Lauder exotic bronzing blush £26, or one of Bobbi Browns shimmer brick compacts £38.

For colour, continue to keep it simple by using a product that covers the lips, eyes and cheeks. Clarins do a nice cream based product that you can apply by just using your fingertips. The Multiblush cream compact £16.50 is a great way to add that subtle colour to an easy make-up look.

If you want to be bolder, opting instead to inject some colour into your summer, then look for inspiration from brands such as RMK and new brand Illamasqua, who have a great selection of colour choice. Choose to focus either on you eyes or your lips with this look.
Choose colours that you are attracted to and ones that will compliment your hair and eye colour. For example blue eyes will look great with yellows and oranges.

If you want to attempt to incorporate colour but are unsure then a subtle lip tint with a hint of bold colour can freshen up your look immediately. Coral colours are fantastic at doing this, go for “Costa Chic” by MAC £12.50 or instead opt for a beautiful fuschia such as Illamasqua’s Avenge.
Either way you create your look this summer, choose a look that you will be happy and comfortable with.

I Love MAC makeup! – great tips and article- thanks!.x
