Q&A with Jules Williams

Q. My boyfriend proposed just before Christmas and I thought all my dreams had come true. Now we are in the new year and the summer wedding is looming, I am getting dark thoughts about him being a bad person, or trapping me once we are married. He isn’t like that at all, so what is going on?

A. Jules Advises: Remember to your subconscious you are becoming married, a wife and possible mother, so it will be trawling back through your life records to look for what you ‘patterned’ yourself on around those role models. Commonly, that means drawing up emotions of your own mother and what you witnessed as your mother experiences as a wife.  One effective way is to write down on paper what you saw your mother’s life as entailing. Also write down how the married men in your thus far life have behaved (father grandfather etc) as this will be very telling as to where your subconscious fears have surfaced from. Then you can write a new statement of belief about what you expect from marriage and affirm with ‘I now embrace my positive, loving and perfectly balanced marriage.’

I have been with my partner for three years now and I’m becoming increasingly anger with him, if I am honest, for seemingly irrelevant and minor things. He is obviously upsetting me, but being slightly late home from work or getting exited about some ide shouldn’t cause me to feel so angry. What’s going on here?

Jules Advices: “Your honesty and recognition battle here. It is worth remembering that anger is mostly a response from to deeper rooted emotions: abandonment and self-worth.

You already allude to two examples of where your ‘anger’ buttons are being presed by your partner. There are both related to his passion and his validations in work, so if we address the deeper emotions it is worth asking  yourself if you are experiencing feelings of worthlessness in your own career, or your own dreams and aspirations, and also if you are feeling tinges of possible abandonment because of feeling vulnerable that your partner no longer needs / want / approves / loves / accepts you.

A good way is to write a continual stream of consciousness down on three pages of paper around those deeper emotions. You can then recognise and reassure yourself of your partner’s love for you, and feel safe to share your worries and doubts with him to then put practical tools in place to comfort the fears together. The affirmation: ‘I now embrace my positive worth and purpose,’ will also help.”

Q. I recently read a book called The Secret and have been saying positive affirmations every day to bring a relationship into my life.  I’ve been single for five years now and my friends say they can’t understand why. I’m slim, healthy and attractive but nothing seems to be happening.

A. Jules advices: “There is quit a lot that you actually say in your letter that explains much of what is going on.  Firstly, you are certainly no alone in reading such a book and saying positive affirmations the feeling despondent when Mr Right doesn’t get delivered to your doorstep.

There is a major subconscious response that is overlooked when undertaking any form of spiritual invocation and that is yes, you are able to stat an intent for what you want (as long as you aren’t manipulating another person), but you allow yourself what you are choosing to invite into your life means that the subconscious will surface the blocks that have been preventing you having a relationship.

You can keep it simple now and investigate back through all your relationships including your relationship with you parents and any siblings and recognise what emotional abandonments/rejections you have been through.

You then need to work with your subconscious on realising the destructive block and subsequent negative pattern. A visualisation or three pages of stream-of-consciousness writing is the best way.

Then you are clear to allow yourself a relationship and your affirmations will have more power.”

APRIL NEWSLETTER

Shirley MacLaine reviews The Weigh Forward:

A warm welcome to everyone reading and interacting with this April’s newsletter, the last couple of months have been busier than usual due to the launch of my book The Weigh Forward. I have to thank all my friends, family, colleagues, BackDoor and Quartet publishing for all their hard work and support in bringing the book to the shelves. Many of my clients and endorsers attended Soho House and the Ivy Club launches, and the rest of the book signings have taken me all over the country and are due to start again in the States next month. More of which later in the newsletter, including the interview I recently did for Shirley MacLaine’s radio Show. (Pics of Leslie with book, Joe with Book)

It has been a busy winter for most of us on many levels and as we ‘sprung forward’ into British Summer Time last weekend it’s the perfect opportunity to look back at all you have achieved over the last 3 -12 months in all aspects of your life. Have you finished a project that has been hanging around for a while? Taken on new responsibilities in work? Rejuvenated a stagnant relationship? Made a life-changing decision and acted on it?

It isn’t about whether you have gone through one of those major changes, as a micro shift is often as important as the bigger picture, and subtly they can complement each other. We all know the feeling of having a clear out, of freshly painting a room, of making an effort to send a hand written note of gratitude to a friend, a partner, or a work colleague. As tired as the cliché seems, taking action in some small way can create shift on a grander scale.

At the end of my book The Weigh Forward I reference how in today’s society people are so used to living in a short-term memory world (constantly rushing, checking social networking sites, acting with immediacy on the mobile phone and with regards to text messages, accessing 24hr television, gaming and the online virtual world) that they are rapidly losing the ability to contemplate, to intuit, to be alone with the self and to feed their emotional and spiritual intelligence – to build a relationship with their own subconscious. I read the novel ‘A River Runs Through It,’ recently (you may remember the movie with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt) and yes I read it in peace, without a mobile phone or computer in sight, but there is an apt quote in it that jumped out:

‘All there is to thinking is seeing something noticeable, which makes you see something you weren’t noticing which makes you see something that isn’t even visible.’

Any time spent alone with your thoughts will build a bridge of awareness to your subconscious!

THE WEIGH FORWARD:

I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you who have supported the launch of my book, and for the fantastic feedback that has come in already, which has meant so much. We kicked off the launch at Soho house on the 15th February and followed it up with the Ivy club on the 17th, a mixture of friends, clients, family and journalists made for an exciting hub and there have been some very complimentary articles written already which I have uploaded to the press room on my website www.juleswilliams.com

The book is available online from Amazon, from most Waterstones stores and many other online outlets, and for those who want to experience a five day residential retreat of The Weigh Forward programme, I have shared details below.

RESIDENTIAL RETREAT: (West Wales)

I will be running a five day residential retreat in West Wales from the 22 – 27th of May purely for The Weigh Forward programme. It will give a small select group the opportunity to investigate the deep seated reasons why they will have been struggling with weight shape or repetitive thoughts around food, eating and body image. I have been blessed with some fantastic groups over the years and always trust that the depth of clearing and healing that takes place is at the forefront of deep soul and subconscious work. I have run some intensive one to one retreats too over the last six months and there is a link here to what Alex Reid had to say after us working together for 4 days.

To reserve a place on the retreat please call the office on 0207 734 9034 or e-mail me direct at jules@juleswilliams.com

SHIRLEY MACLAINE:

As some of you may be aware I am now regularly contributing articles for Shirley Maclaine’s magazine ‘Dynamic Living,’ and have also recorded an hour long interview for her radio station with her compatriot Brit Elders regarding The Weigh Forward – www.shirleymaclaine.com

I have long held respect for Shirley and am really excited about being able to forge a greater working relationship with her over the next few years. My wife Rosemary and I are flying over to her ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico next month, so I will keep you all informed of what develops. (Pic of Shirley Maclaine)

Q&A – The Soul Guru

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Question: I hope this doesn’t sound strange but I have seen three Badgers at different times and places near the land around my home lately, and then last night had a weird dream with badgers in too. Am I missing something? Petra, 26, Stroud.

Jules Advises: The very fact you have asked of yourself if there is a significance Petra, and you have also taken the time to write in then I would certainly look at the message. Whether you want to call it a portent, an omen, an interconnectedness with the universe providing you with a living feedback of what your reality is showing you, or a plain and simple ‘what’s the harm finding an answer so I can stop worrying about it’ approach all works in your favour.

For you Petra, Badger is very much reminding you of the need sometimes for constructive anger / aggression. Many people especially those on a spiritual path shy away from words like confrontation and aggression, although used constructively they help balance our spiritual trust with a physical affirmation.

Take some time to see if you are waiting for the universe to ‘deliver’ your perfect job, or to enlighten an errant boyfriend, and utilise badger medicine and start taking action, to create shift – apply for the jobs you want, set some boundaries with your partner by telling them straight, or book that holiday. It’s aggression in terms of knowing you can make things happen with strong direct physical action, to prevent overflowing your spiritual cup so to speak.

Q&A – The Soul Guru

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Question:
A friend of mine recently died, and I’m finding it very difficult to stop thinking about it and it is beginning to depress me.  I feel sad all the time and know I am not much fun to be around. The strange thing is that she was an old university friend who I hadn’t seen for five years so I’m also really worried about how I will react if one of my nearest and dearest passes away. Josie, 29, Hertfordshire.

____
Jules Advises: For all the positives of living in the western world, an understanding of death and a certain level of peace with it is not one of them. We so often keep thoughts of it locked away in some recess of our subconscious, and obviously feel unprepared when loss strolls into our life.

I know how hard it has been for you Josie and you would have heard lots of sympathetic and sage advice. On a more practical level your loss has triggered a couple of subconscious blocks. Firstly, is a vague belief concerning the soul and death itself. Everyone should make the time to write about, read around and meditate on what feels right for them regarding what they believe happens when they die. For example I believe implicitly in the soul and understand that we choose our ‘game of life.’

The maxim ‘once we understand death, then we can truly live’ is very apt too, and relates to your second trigger by your Subconscious Josie; namely ruminations of guilt and blame that commonly surface after experiencing loss. It is why it is so important to decide on a personal integrity for how you interact with people so you won’t have to include self punishment into your stages of mourning that we all go through after suffering loss.

_____

The affirmation: ‘I now trust and accept my process of life’ will help too.

Q&A – The Soul Guru

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Question:
I’m a 27-year-old man with an unnatural fear of going on holiday. This hasn’t been an issue in the past, but now I’m in a long term relationship, my girlfriend, who loves the sun and travelling, is starting to resent my avoidance of the topic. I’m not bothered about flying and I’m happy with the sun. It just feels deeper than that.

Jules advises:
“It is good that you recognise this isn’t a fear of flying or a change in climate. For you this is a subconscious fear – not of holidaying – but of leaving home and something destructive happening whilst you are away.
Create a timeline of the first 15 years of your life and every single ‘trip’ away from home and what occurred or what was triggered emotionally while you were away.
For example, you could have gone away on a school camping trip and got back to find out your dog had become ill and had to be put down. You may have returned from a family holiday to find the house had been burgled, or your dad was away on a work trip and you found out your mother had an affair (to your subconscious you are your dad now).
All these examples, although different, send exactly the same message to the subconscious: leave home and something destructive will happen. Once you know what event triggered you, write out all the negative memories of that time and then reassure yourself with the affirmation: ‘I am now safe to embrace positive holidays into my life. All is well.’ Then book your flights and enjoy the summer.”

Jules Williams: September Newsletter

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Article by Jules Williams at www.juleswilliams.com

A warm welcome to everyone reading and interacting with this month’s newsletter. I hope you have all had an eventful and soul enriching summer. For many reasons I took a sabbatical from this newsletter over the holiday period, mainly to write the full first draft of my Weigh Forward book and to co-direct and produce an exciting television series with my wife, called ‘Living the Lie’ – more about those two projects in a moment – I also wanted to contemplate how I move forward with my work and can offer the best possible opportunities to interact with everyone.

_____
The only thing that is constant as they say is change, and those that know me are aware how I always endeavour to push my knowledge and understanding forward and come out of any comfort zones I may have settled into. There is such a major shift in consciousness occurring at the moment and so many people are searching to understand their purpose and place in the world that it motivates me to realize deeper emotional and spiritual techniques to help myself and consequently assist others on their path too.

_____
So here we are; September, probably my favourite month of the year, which I always find slightly strange considering I’m born in July and love the sun. There is something refreshing though with the crispness that creeps into an autumn morning and the metaphorical association of us sloughing off the old in alignment with nature’s cycle of decay. Probably a good time to ask that if you have any specific request of what to see in the newsletter or want to take part in any of my workshops, retreats or private sessions then please call Meryem at the office on 0207 734 9034.

The Weigh Forward – coming soon -

Eight weeks and 70, 000 words later, I handed in the first full draft of my Weigh Forward book due to hit the shelves in January 2011. I remained disciplined hitting my daily word count and more importantly bringing up to date what is essentially 20 years work of dealing with the subconscious reasons why people hold onto weight or have destructive repetitive patterns around food or body shape.

_____
I have a wonderful publisher in Quartet Books and am relishing spending the next couple of months working with the editors before we go to print. For those of you who can’t wait for the book to come out or the app to launch on your i phone I have committed to offering a ’sneak preview’ day’s workshop on 29th September in Soho, London.

THE WEIGH FORWARD

Living The Lie with Stephen Fry

Our production of Living the Lie has been going really well. It is a series of six interviews where two well known personalities who have an interest in each other’s work share the experiences of their childhood, their relationships and life as a celebrity where they have had to live the lie both perpetuated by the media and also themselves to project ‘the brand.’
We kicked off with British screen icon Leslie Phillips and Bee Gee legend Robin Gibb at the start of the year and have recently added a fantastic and revealing show with Stephen Fry with Bill Wyman in June with Howard Marks aka Mr. Nice and Peter Stringfellow (pictured) sharing some searingly honest anecdotes about their life. It has been amazing to co-direct and produce a project that fulfils our aim of producing television that is insightful and emotionally intelligent. We will let you know when the series is due to hit your screens in the near future, check out the link to BackDoor and see what other projects we have in development.

Private Sessions

First of all thank you for your patience over the summer for those of you who had to wait a little longer than usual for a private one to one session.
To catch up until the end of the year I am going to devote two days a week at the office for 1 to 1 sessions to make sure no one is left stranded. If you wish to book an hour’s intuitive counselling session with me please call Meryem at my office and she will try and fit you in as soon as possible.

Workshops

I have the ’sneak preview’ day’s workshop for my Weigh Forward on Wednesday 29th September. Click here to find out more.

Jules Williams Workshop Retreat

Friday, June 4th, 2010

Intuitive councellor Jules Williams has been running spiritual retreats across the UK and US for over 10 years. But what can you expect from this unique and life changing experience? You will travel to the retreat set in the calm and tranquility of the British country side, in an area of converging lay lines and ancient rituals, steeped in spiritual energy.

Jules will then introduce you to his world-renowned methods of emotional clearing. He will work with your subconscious to uncover the deep-rooted blocks causing your repetitive negative behavior patterns and guide you on an intensive healing process to clear you of those blocks and encourage positive energy into your life.

His techniques include past life regressions, visualizations, meditations and affirmations as well as a host of activities designed to draw out and manifest your subconscious.

You will also enjoy a range of exciting one to one and group exercises and workshops, including outdoor boxing to help you really let go of that negative energy, equine therapy and intensive hiking sessions to help you reconnect with the natural energy which surrounds you.

One of Jules’ most popular and effective processes is the night time evocation of your spirit guides. In the dead of night you will be taken to an ancient druid burial ground and undergo a deep meditation process before being led alone into the dark to spend time calling upon the spirits for their guidance, support and knowledge. Although this is an emotional process, many leave these sessions with untold strength and a renewed sense of self-worth.

Jules has helped hundreds of clients suffering from weight problems, relationship worries, addictions, bereavements and health issues and unlike some others, his results last a life time.

If you feel it’s time for you to take control of the path on which you are travelling, then book a place on one of Jules’ retreats today and find out how you can change your life for the better.
