Heritage and Country was a strong theme on Saturday at London Fashion Week. The first show I took my seat at was Daks, the traditional British label revealed itself to be a serious contender for the Next Big Rebrand. Trench jackets, kilted skirts and jodhpur trousers all looked classic with a youthful twist. Watch out Burberry? You can find some great pieces on the new on-line Zara website that has just launched which will see you through winter. I have just brought this great gray cardigan and dress that are casual, fashionable are warm!

Topshop Unique’s Spring/Summer collection showed yesterday at London Fashion Week, and was watched by a host of Topshop-loving celebrities, including Lily Allen, Olivia Palermo and fashionista-in-residence of Girls Aloud, Nicola Roberts. The collection was inspired by “the world of magic and wonder”, and full of fun, as well as looks drawing from styles from princessy chic to 70s disco to glam rock showgirl! I particularly liked this white bodysuit with appliqued angel wings as so did Alexia!

Curves are back at London Fashion Week – breasts and hips are in trend, and perhaps at least provide hope that the plus-size model trend is not just a fading fad. Giles Deacon, who last season cast Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Izabel Goulart, and Ana Beatriz Barros, presented his spring 2011 collection including the pregnant Abby Clancy and fellow bodacious model Kelly Brook. Other notables on his spring 2011 runway included Agyness Deyn, who is neither pregnant nor known for her curves, but always in trend.

Kate Moss is still considered the number 1 supermodel to us Brits especially for her cool, laid back rock & roll edge. She loves fur and leather and for this season as always she is bang on trend. Check out below some of my favourite Kate outfits and channel the in rock goddess in you! Leather is everywhere at the moment and will continue to be so for the winter party season! Like me invest in a pair of black or red leather skinny trousers or mini skirt and pair with a Alexander Wang inspired laid back tee for casual cool. His retail for around £60 but for cheaper options Cos and American Apparel do visually the same top for around £16-20. Finish with a black faux fur jacket and a pair of black sunglasses and get out on the town.

The Runway this autumn is all about black, white, grey and beige. The message is clear less is more. Here are a few of of my favourite catwalk shows to give you some inspiration about what to wear this up coming season.
I went shopping yesterday and brought this amazing blue military coat from Zara for just under £100. The coat with gold buttons reminds me of the Burberry fall 2010 coat that Kate Moss is wearing on the front of Vogue this month!! The weather is turning bad so it’s time to start thinking about your autumn / winter wardrobe! Check out my new coat below hanging up and some other cool girls wearing the it coat this season.
Watch out this season for the trend for messy plaits. They were everywhere in the Alexander Wang runway show this month and are easy to do and copy. If you haven’t got long hair this is the perfect time to try out some Great Lengths Hair Extensions at MACS or buy a pony from TOPSHOP and plait in with your own hair. Leave a bit of fringe out and mess up the tops with your hands. I think this look is young and fresh and made to be worn out to the bars. Check out my photos below and give the messy plait look a go!
